About Kairos Missions
“We need heralds of the Gospel who are experts in humanity,
who know the depths of the human heart,
who can share the joys, the hopes, the agonies the distress of people today,
but who are, at the same time, contemplatives who have fallen in love with God.”Pope John Paul II
Responding to this call … “Kairos Missions” was created.
In my work in parishes and various Christian groups, I am often in awe of the faith and discipleship I find in those whom I meet and with whom I share our faith.
At the same time, I am often deeply distressed by the indifference toward faith in Christ that I find among so many people. It is personally painful for me to see the large number of Catholics who are distant from God, the Church, and whose lives are guided more by cultural trends than by the gospel and the teachings of the Church.
I am also fully aware of how stretched parish staff and resources are in meeting the growing needs of a local parish community.
Kairos Missions has been created to offer support for parishes and various faith communities to foster renewal and formation in Christian faith and community life.
What Kairos Missions Does …
Parish Missions, Retreats and Workshops:
Kairos Missions are offered to all. Events are conducted with great sensitivity to those attending. They are structured to meet the distinct needs of the individual community requesting the program.
Presentations are personalized to reach the unique population of participants: churched or unchurched, close to God or far away. Each message is given with the belief that we are all on this journey together and each of us is in continual need of renewal and conversion.
Books: Good News In Bad Times is a compilation from many of John's presentations.
Web Site: The posting of sermons and other presentations.
Audio and Video: Presentations are currently being produced on a variety of topics.
