Why A Mission?
Because …
Life is difficult …
Faith is difficult …
We feel like something is missing …
The first thing the disciples and Mary did after the Resurrection and Ascension of Jesus was to gather together in prayer. They prayed with expectation and anticipation for something much greater than themselves to come, what Jesus had promised and upon which everything depended.
Ever since, disciples have continued to gather in hope-filled anticipation to receive that same gift Jesus has promised us. It is in this coming together, anticipating the Holy Spirit, that we experience more fully the life of God.
A Parish Mission is an opportunity to experience how real and life changing God’s grace and presence can be in our lives.
Coming together as church and “taking another look” at the dynamic power of the message of Jesus, we discover the grace and intimacy of His presence alive in our midst.
This is a unique opportunity for a parish community to come more fully alive in the presence of God in the gift of the Holy Spirit and Resurrection of Jesus Christ.
